Next up: into the fire.
I’ve left town, I don’t know where I’m going, and I don’t know when I’ll be back. I’ve embarked upon the wandering adventure I’ve been dreaming about for a long time. My goal is to travel mostly by train and to support myself with database and web design work, a practice I’ve come to affectionately call “vagabasing.” I’ll probably be back in Ann Arbor sometime in the next few months, but my plan is not to plan right now.
I intend to post pictures and vignettes here on a fuzzy-regular basis. The pictures in this post are from the very first leg of my journey, traveling to Chicago this afternoon (the only place Amtrak goes from Ann Arbor). I’m staying in Chicago tonight with @Jean Fitzgerald and then taking a 20 hour train to arrive at Twin Oaks on Friday, where I’ll be staying for three weeks. I have no idea where I’ll be going after that. “But oh, that magic feeling, nowhere to go…”
